MICHAEL SYMPOSIUM
and MICHAEL DEBATE

MICHAEL SYMPOSIUM und MICHAEL DEBATE 2014

While MICHAEL PRIZE and MICHAEL LECTURE had been part of the biennial International Epilepsy Congress for quite some time, a MICHAEL event was also introduced to the European Congress on Epileptology in the in-between years. It started with the MICHAEL SYMPOSIUM at the European Congress on Epileptology 2008 in Berlin and was followed by another MICHAEL SYMPOSIUM 2010 in Rhodos.

A new concept was introduced for the European Congress on Epileptology 2012 in London: the MICHAEL DEBATE. A group of researchers – mainly MICHEAL PRIZE winners – shortly present different aspects of a chosen subject. They will then controversially discuss the subject first among themselves and then with the auditorium.

Since 2012, this form of the MICHAEL DEBATE has proved to be successful and is now part of the scientific program on the European Congresses on Epileptology.

MICHAEL DEBATE at the European Congress on Epileptology 2014 in Stockholm:

During the European Congress on Epileptology 2014 in Stockholm, the MICHAEL FOUNDATION repeated the MICHAEL DEBATE that was introduced as a new form of scientific discussion two years earlier in London.<7p>

During the MICHAEL DEBATE a group of researchers – mainly MICHAEL PRIZE winners – shortly present different aspects of a chosen subject. They will then controversially discuss the subject first among themselves and then with the auditorium.
